BREAKING NEWS - First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan Returns To Nigeria

Nigeria’s First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan Wednesday afternoon returned to Nigeria from Germany where she was hospitalized for several weeks.

Local newspaper Vanguard is reporting that Nigeria’s first lady arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, on a presidential jet at about 4 pm and was welcomed by some top government functionaries and other well-wishers.

AfircaEagle's correspondent in the capital Abuja has also confirmed the arrival of the First Lady who is currently en route the Presidential Villa.  

The state of health of members of Nigeria’s ruling class is always shrouded in utmost secrecy. For instance, when the immediate past President was away for treatment, his aides kept telling Nigerians that he only went to observe the lesser hajj and would be back soon. 

Even when he was brought into the country in an ambulance, some religious leaders claimed he spoke to them and shook hands with them. Another set of religious leaders however blew the lid open when they disclosed that the man could neither talk nor recognize them in the course of the visit.
