The World Bank has pledged at least $650m (£437m) to West African countries to help them recover from the Ebola epidemic. That comes on top of about $1bn already promised.

One of the hardest-hit countries is Sierra Leone, where more than 3,800 people have died since the outbreak began last year. The number of new cases now is declining, and schools have reopened for the first time in months. But the Ebola crisis has devastated the country's economy, and Sierra Leone is now facing a deep recession.

Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma talked to the BBC's Katty Kay while in Washington to discuss the crisis with President Barack Obama and other world leaders.
