Barely a month after the Somalia-based Al-Shabaab militant group killed 147 students of Garissa University College in Kenya, the terrorist group has unleashed another round of shattering terror in the East African country.

This time, not less than 10 police officers are believed to have died from the latest attack while 13 others are still unaccounted for.

According to reports in Kenya, the attack took place in the late hours of Monday, May 25, 2015 as the Al-Shabaab militants ambushed Kenyan policemen keeping guard at the northeast of the country close to the border with Somalia.

It is very close to the point where the Garissa University massacre took place last month and speaking on the ambush attack, Police spokesman, George Kinoti confirmed the attack.

‘There was an ambush on officers who were on patrol and as a result, 13 officers are missing, two others sustained injuries and have been taken to hospital.

‘The area is on the remote side of Garissa not far from the border, that is why we are having a problem getting information instantly, What we however know is that 10 officers have been killed,’ he said.
