Man who specializes in stealing rails of bridges has been arrested. Musa Inuwa, 32, a member of a 3-man gang who specialize in stealing bridges’ rails, was arrested on Sept. 14, at about 2.30 a.m. at Costain area, Lagos.
They're in the habit of cutting the rails of highway bridges, which are meant to save lives, into small sizes before selling them off at Ijora and Oyingbo markets. Their activities have seen many bridges, including Third Mainland, Carter, Stadium, Ojuelegba and Fadeyi not having the protective rails. .
The federal and state governments have spent millions of Naira to replace the rails so as to save people from falling off the bridges but these people keep cutting them
Am concerned about this matter also. In my area in oworosoki and gbagada. I use to be bittered abt this devilish attitude, and have been praying that the culprit will be caught oneday. Thank God it has happen. My suggestion is that he should be tortured and give account of those buyng it frim him, and all those involved in the act. Above all sentence to life imprisonment. Without option of fine and bail
