Last week, we reported that Ambrose Okeke Ifedilichukwe, 55, was arrested at the Kotoka International Airport for swallowing pellets of cocaine.

He was to deliver it to somebody for a fee of $6,000. He was on an Emirate flight from Cote d’Ivoire en-route to Hong-Kong via Dubai, but while on the flight, he started behaving abnormally. On reaching Ghana, he was rushed to Aviation Clinic where he confessed.

When his condition worsened he was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was operated upon. He managed to expel 46 of the pellets but died on Saturday evening after going through surgery.

Nii Lante Blankson of the Narcotics Control Board said he suspected that some of the pellets might have burst in his stomach.
