Kenya: Popular OAP Battles With Deadly Blood Disorder

While many were whiling their time away and merry making over the Easter holiday, Celina Njoki Ghetto FM popular presenter was fighting for her life in hospital.

She has been fighting off Deep Vein Thrombosis DVT, for some time and has been in and out of hospital trying to treat the condition. On 25th this March she sent a unique appeal different to what most have come to expect on social media.

Hers was not the the usual seek for money but something more critical to her survival...blood. She needs lots of blood donation to help her in surgery and continued treatment at Avenue hospital in Parklands. Here is her straightforward appeal she made explaining her predicament

"Hi my dearest friends of late I have not been feeling well... I have been in and out of hospital being admitted and discharged... Am suffering from (deep vein thrombosis DVT) AND I KINDLY NEED YOUR HELP URGENTLY... I require a lot of blood donors from (O+) O positive... If you can donate please come to Avenue Hospital in Parklands to donate and ask for Celina Njoki at the female ward... (TELL A FRIEND TO TELL A FRIEND) A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED!!!"

For all blood group O+ individuals who can make it to the hospital all help will appreciated. The plea has attracted already a huge response but it will only matter if you her fans follow it up with blood donations. We wish her quick recovery.
