Ghana: Lives of albinos in danger as November elections approach

Albinos in Ghana are scared they could be used for rituals especially as the November elections draws near.



Some of these albinos have alleged that some politicians usually use them for various rituals during elections to enable them win as executive director of the Ghana Association of Persons with Albinism, Newton Komla Katseku, in an interview with Onua 95.1Fm in Accra calls on government and security services to give adequate protection to persons with albinism.

Katseku said they have consistently raised the issue with the government on the need to provide adequate security for their members yet nothing is done and as such they are being sacrificed by politicians for their selfish gains.
