Dutch side Ajax have signed Burkina Faso international Bertrand Traore on a season-long loan, according to reports in the Netherlands.

The arrival of Michy Batshuayi has pushed the 20-year-old Burkinabe down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and new Blues coach Antonio Conte is happy to let the youngster head to the Eredivisie.

Traore made his Premier League debut last December and put in several promising performances for Chelsea. At Ajax, he will serve as a replacement for Arek Milik, who was recently purchased by Italian side Napoli.

Traore will be reunited with coach Peter Bosz in Amsterdam. The attacker played under Bosz at Vitesse Arnhem from 2013 to 2015 while on loan from Chelsea, scoring 16 goals in 14 Eredivisie appearances.

Traore is set to be available for Ajax’s UEFA Champions League playoff first leg clasg against FC Rostov next midweek.
