AFCON 2017 Dates And Times Confirmed By CAF

The dates, kick-off times and venues for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations have been confirmed by the Confederation of African Football, ahead of tonight’s group stage draw for the tournament.


CAF on Tuesday released the schedule and venues of the 2017 AFCON, which will be held in Gabon from January 14 to February 5.

The tournament gets underway on January 14 with two matches at the Stade de l'Amitié in Libreville: the opening Group A game featuring hosts Gabon kicking off at 17h00 local time, as well as the second group clash kicking off at 20h00.

Group B matches will be played in Franceville, while Group C – which will feature champions Ivory Coast – will be based in Oyem and Group D clashes will take place at Port Gentil.

The group stage will conclude on January 25 with the final two Group D clashes played simultaneously at 20h00.

The quarterfinals will be played on January 28 and 29, the semifinals on February 1-2 and the third-place playoff on February 4.

The final will be played at the Stade de l'Amitié in Libreville on February 5, with kick-off set for 20h00.
