Good News For Ghana As Asamoah Returns To Training

Juventus and Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah made his return to first team training at his Italian club on Monday.


The Black Stars player picked up a knee injury in September and underwent surgery. He was only expected to return in November, but could be back in action for his Italian later this week.

Juve will host Sampdoria on Wednesday and Napoli on Saturday for two Serie A clashes in the next four days and coach Max Allegri will be happy that he can call on Asamoah – if only as a substitute to begin with.

The 27-year-old’s return to training is also good news for Ghana coach Avram Grant, widening his pool of available players for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Egypt.

Asamoah’s experience would be a welcome addition to the Black Stars’ squad ahead of their clash in Alexandria on November 13.
