Aubameyang Relishes Race For Bundesliga Golden Boot

Borussia Dortmund superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was happy to continue his scoring form for his club over the weekend.


The Gabon international scored the only goal of the match to help Dortmund beat Bayern Munich 1-0 in a titanic German Bundesliga game on Saturday.

The goal took his tally of the season to 12 league goals. Aubameyang is the joint top goalscorer in the Bundesliga alongside Anthony Modeste of Koln.

"I saw Anthony Modeste scored again so I'm happy to score too," Aubameyang told Bundesliga.com.

"I'm back in the race. I’m happy to follow him,” the Gabon captain added.

French striker Modeste's Koln will host Augsburg at the Rhein Energie Stadion in their next league match on Saturday afternoon.

While Aubameyang's Dortmund take on Eintracht Frankfurt at the Commerzbank-Arena in a league game on Saturday evening.
