Gambia's President-elect, Barrow Speaks On Yahya Jammeh's Change of Mind

Gambia's President-elect, Adama Barrow has described Yahya Jammeh's proposal as an approach that will tarnish democratic process of The Gambia.


Gambian leader Yahya Jammeh had on Friday night rejected the result of the presidential election held earlier this month, a week after admitting defeat.

Mr Jammeh cited "abnormalities" in the vote and called for fresh elections.

But Mr. Barrow on his social media said: “President Jammeh's proposal is a tarnish to our democracy. The Gambian people have made their decision”.
