NIGERIA: North Central State Opposition Party APC Loses Scribe

The secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Prince Yemi Afolayan, is dead.
Prince Afolayan, a former member of state House of Assembly and an indigene of Oko in Isin Local Government Area, died in Ilorin on Friday morning during an illness.
The party, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, said it had lost a worthy son.
“Prince Yemi Afolayan will be remembered for his unflinching loyalty to the APC, contributions to the development of Kwara State as a parliamentarian and his huge contributions to humanity.
“Indeed, Kwara State has lost a worthy son. We pray for the repose of his soul and we empathise with his entire family, all APC members and the people of Kwara State,” the statement said.
The state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also expressed its condolences to the leadership and members of the APC in the state over the death of Afolayan.
