Aljazeera Publish Pictures Of Women And Children Killed By Nigerian Army In Northeast Offensive

International news agency Al Jazeera has obtained exclusive footage of army's battle against Boko Haram, with women and children shown among the dead.
Al Jazeera has obtained the first images of the Nigerian army's battle against Boko Haram fighters in the northern state of Borno.

The pictures appear to show the bodies of Boko Haram rebels and many civilians, including women and children.

One soldier told Al Jazeera he had seen almost 3,000 corpses.

The Nigerian army have been fighting the group since a state of emergency was declared on May 14 in areas where the fighters have been operating.

The Nigerian army has also released 58 women and children suspected of having links to Boko Haram.

See video as Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege reports exclusively from Maiduguri.

  4. Please tell me, in Aljazeerah's mind, are boko haram not civilians? That they took up arms make them no less civilians so when there are casualties how do u identify them as boko haram if not that they engaged in fighting and got killed? Or are they marked? So it's very likely that in the interest of propaganda when they are killed they are branded civilians.

  13. ALJAZEERA MIND YOUR BUSINESS. WHEN THE MILITARY PERSONNELS WHERE KILLED, WHO COMPLAINED AND WHEN THESE PEOPLE COVERED THE CRIMES COMMITTED BY THEIR FATHERS AND SONS, WHO COMPLAINED.
WHY IS IT THAT NOW THAT PEACE AND ORDER IS TO BE RESTORED WE ARE CRITICIZING? WHO CRITICIZED IN THE TIME OF OBASANJO (ODI) AND LATE YAR ADUA?
ALL THAT HAPPENS IN USA AND UK IS COVERED, BUT NIGERIA IS SPOKEN OFF. PLEASE LET THEM DO THEIR WORK. IF YOU CARE, SPEAK TO THEIR LEADERS TO TALK TO THEIR SOLDIERS TO FOLLOW THE STIPULATED RULES OF COMBAT AND ENSURE THAT THE INNOCENT IS KEPT OUT OF THE TARGET AND THAT RAPE OF WOMEN/KILLING OF SUSPECTS OR CAPTURED INSURGENTS SHOULD NOT BE CONDOLED. PLEASE KEEP CLEAR, SOME OF YOUR PERSONS BROUGHT THIS GROUP AND WEAPONS INTO NIGERIA NOT NIGERIANS.

  14. it is certain that their will be innocent civilians as casualties...but most of this so civilians abhor this terrorists in their mist knowing fully well that they are up to no good.....so they have to bear the consequences of doing such.....just like in the film called rules of engagement....mind u their women and children are also in support ...they are all terrorists
