DR Congo pull out of Africa Cup of Nations U17 & U20 qualifiers

DR Congo have withdrawn from participating in the qualifiers for the 2017 U17 & U20 Africa Cup of Nations.

This was made known by the Confederation of African Football without stating reasons for their decision.

DR Congo’s U20 were billed to face Zambia in the first qualifier for a place to the 2017 African Youth Championship, while Burundi U17 would face tackle their U17 team for the Afcon U17 tournament billed for Madagascar.

With this development, their opponents have qualified for the second round of qualifiers for the biennial African cadet championship showpiece.
