Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Abey Dhaira has died in Iceland.

The former Express FC goalkeeper has been suffering from abdominal cancer for the last five months.
Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) executive member, DrB ernard Ogwel confirmed today, Sunday that they had got information that Dhaira had passed on.
Dhaira has been featuring for Iceland Premier League side IBV Vestmannaeyjar has been undergoing treatment for cancer in Iceland.
The former goalkeeper who also featured for URA FC had his health deteriorate in January 2016 and was hospitalised in Kampala at the Nsambya hospital before returning to Iceland where he was receiving further treatment.
Dhaira made his debut for the national team in 2009 and helped the Cranes win the regional Council for East and Central African Football Associations (Cecafa) Senior Challenge Cup in 2012 at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Since 2013, Dhaira has not featured for the Uganda Cranes, but he has always remained hopeful he would make a comeback.
