Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe is making waves after he publicly acknowledged he could put an end to the criminalization of so_domy, a controversial issue which he himself has taken a firm stand against, for years.

The Nonagenarian leader who has ruled Zimbabwe since 1980, has actively carried out actions against LGBT people and spoken out in public against homose_xuality.

He has been quoted: “I find it extremely outrageous and repugnant to my human conscience that such immoral and repulsive organizations, like those of homose_xuals, who offend both against the law of nature and the morals of religious beliefs espoused by our society, should have any advocates in our midst and elsewhere in the world.”

The 92-year-old president, known for his failed approach towards the economy, announced that he believes laws on so_domy are “outdated” and preventing hundreds of thousands of Zimbabweans to freely express their se_xual orientation.

The statement took the nation by surprise, as many Zimbabweans shun the practice.

President Mugabe has also promised hundreds of thousands of jobs in the diamond mining industry for homose_xuals who are willing to come out in the open.

Over 150,000 prisoners convicted of various offenses are believed to be currently detained in Zimbabwean prisons and it is believed the news will see some prisoners ‘lying’ about their se_xuality just to get out of prison and land a job.

The Association of Ga_ys and Les_bians of Zimbabwe (GALZ) is said to be on cloud nine about the sudden change of heart by the President though some skeptics fear this could be a ruse to bring out all the ga_ys and then persecute them.
