While Wande Coal, who started the trend of the all-hit pop album with his first album, Mushin to Mo'Hits, promised to release his album June 6, 2013, Wizkid kept announcing new dates via his Twitter handle, @Wizkidayo .
Wande Coal, who took a long hiatus after he released his debut album six years ago, has released hit songs including The Kick, Rotate, My Way, Kilaju, and the controversial Baby Face. He will be seeking to regain the throne he once commanded as Nigeria's pop king should he release the album.
Wizkid, like his friend and colleague, Wande Coal, has released hit singles including "Omo Jaiye Jaiye"- which many believed would usher in his second album. He once posted a picture of the list of his 11 tracker album, which features label boss, Banky W; prolific producer, Donjazzy; and singer, Seyi shay; on Instagram last June.
Both Wizkid and Wande Coal, according to interaction with fans on their respective social media accounts, have continued to record songs and collaborate with international artistes.
When both Wizkid and Wande Coal eventually release their respective albums and the talked about joint mixtape, it will no doubt be laced with local and international collaborations.
