Shuaibu Amodu who was recently appointed as the Technical Director of the Super Eagles has asked Stephen Keshi to stop demanding for a new deal from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and step down as coach of the Super Eagles.
He said Keshi failed to take Nigeria to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations after a draw at home with South Africa, adding that Keshi should walk away with his reputation intact.
“Stephen Keshi alone will decide if he has a reputation or he does not have a reputation. If he has a reputation he will walk out of the job, if he does not have, he should stay like a beggar.”
“To keep Keshi is bad precedence because when Samson Siasia failed, we came on air to tell the whole country that he had failed [and] that he should go. “President Goodluck Jonathan could not save him, so if we want to live on those standards, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. But you must know that this is my personal opinion,” Amodu said.
