From Bikini Babe To France's Most Wanted Woman: How Hayat Boumeddiene Became Linked To Paris Terror Attacks

This is France’s most wanted woman.

Photographs have emerged of Hayat Boumeddiene in a skimpy bikini with her arms wrapped around a shirtless Amedy Coulibaly as both grin broadly for the camera.

Now Coulibaly is dead, shot down in a hail of gunfire after he rushed from the doorway of a Parisian kosher deli armed with an assault rifle.

Police believe the 32-year-old radical had already executed four hostages inside the deli before they stormed the building and brought a horror 48 hours to a close.

Authorities believe his 26-year-old “wife” managed to slip free of the bolt hole in the subsequent chaos, possibly even posing as a terrified hostage.

Her disappearance has sparked a massive hunt for the woman they say is “armed and dangerous”.

Other happy snaps, discovered by French intelligence, back that suggestion up.

In the photos, taken in 2010, the Algerian-born beauty poses with a crossbow while wearing a flowing black niqab.

In some of the shots, her entire face has been concealed by her veil as she points the loaded crossbow directly at the camera.

Police suspect Boumeddiene and her partner of killing a policewoman in Paris prior to the standoff in the deli.

France’s security personnel believe Boumeddiene was radicalised over the course of her relationship with Coulibaly.

The pair were married in an Islamic ceremony but had never married in a civil ceremony – which is the only legally accepted form of marriage in France.

While the former cashier had a clean criminal record, Coulibaly was well known to French police and had a history of both petty and serious crimes, including robbery and drug offences.

He first came to police attention as a 17-year-old and jail time and increasingly serious offences followed.

Police sources have told the Daily Mail he had met the Kouachi brothers, believed responsible for the murder of 12 people around the offices of the Charlie Hebdo satirical magazine on Wednesday, while in jail.

“He was in the same Buttes Chaumount cell as the Kouachi brothers,” the source said.

“He was friends of both of them.”

As part of a police interview in 2009, Boumeddiene told investigators she had walked away from a low-paid job as a cashier in the Juvisy suburb of Paris in 2009 and taken the veil, the Daily Mail has reported.

She reportedly ‘devoted herself’ to Coulibay following their meeting.
