NIGERIA: Lagos Airport Cleaner Gets Caught With N53m

Yesterday, aviation security personnel of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, prevented the trafficking of $271,135 through the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.
The money was found on Mr. Tijani Owolabi, a worker with one of the cleaning contractors at the airport, during a pat down at one of the screening points at ‘D’ Finger of the international terminal.
He was suspected to be conveying the money to an accomplice at the sterile area of the terminal. Some of the money was found on him while some was recovered from the sanitary bucket he was trying to pass through screening
