Nigeria's Aaron Samuel Cleared to Play Against Egypt

Nigeria striker Aaron Samuel is available for selection in today’s AFCON qualifier against Egypt in Kaduna after shrugging off a slight knock in training.


“The knock is nothing serious. He can play if he is selected,” said a team official.

“All the players are fit and it is up to the coaches to pick the team now.”

Samuel was the only injury concern for Nigeria leading up to today’s showdown.

Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi has equally recovered fully from food poisoning in training camp and has since trained fully with the rest of the squad.

He is now in line for his official debut for Nigeria after he switched his international allegiance from England.
