Ayew Returns To Marseille For Treatment On His Injury
Ghana and West Ham United forward Andre Ayew has returned to former club Olympique Marseille to receive additional treatment on his injury.
The Black Stars player has been given permission by the Hammers to have treatment on his thigh injury at the Ligue 1 club he represented from 2007 to 2015.
Ayew, who was a club-record £20.5million signing for the London side, has been sidelined since picking up the injury in his official debut last month.
Ayew requested to be treated in familiar surroundings and drew a large crowd on Thursday when he visited Marseille’s training facilities.
The player returned to gentle training with West Ham last week but is still a long way from returning to first-team availability.
