Former Governor Of Jigawa State nad His Son Arrested By EFCC Over Money Laundering

Former governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Sule Lamido has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Lamido was arrested for alleged money laundering offences, and two of his sons, Aminu and
Mustapha Lamido, were also arrested in connection with the charges.
“The former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, and his two sons, Mustapha and Aminu, were arrested this morning by operatives of the commission,” an EFCC source said.
“They were actually arrested very early this morning, they were with us for hours before they were flown to Kano for possible arraignment on Wednesday (today).
“They left Abuja Airport around 2.30pm. It is most likely that they would be arraigned tomorrow (Wednesday), that I can tell you.”
Billions of state-owned funds were allegedly siphoned into business owned by the governor and his sons.
