NIGERIA: We Are Willing To Negotiate With Boko Haram - Presidency

Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina had claimed that the country had the upper hand in the battle, but would be prepared to listen to their demands.

“Most wars, however furious or vicious, often end around the negotiation table. So, if Boko Haram opts for negotiation, the government will not be averse to it,” he said.

Adesina also stated that the multinational task force, made up of troops from Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad and Niger, would soon be in place to “devastate and decapitate” the insurgency.

The terrorists have increased their killings since President Muhammad Buhari’s organizations, targeting crowded places and religious houses.
