Boy Beheads Man After Stealing From Him, Strangles Girlfriend For Aborting His Pregnancy
On the 27th of February, 2015, Cyril Ojango Etim, 25, beheaded Ubong Asuquo, 34, after he stole his N4000 in Old Netim, Cross River State.
Cyril had broken into Asuquo's house, stole his N4000 and ran off. But Asuquo saw him leaving his house. He quickly got his cutlass and pursued Cyril with his motorcycle to a nearby bush. .
He ran into the bush after Cyril and caught up with him. A fight ensued and in the process, Asuquo was overpowered and beheaded. Cyril thereafter escaped from the community and took refuge in Akwa Ibom State. .
In the course of investigations, police detectives discovered the alleged role of Cyril in the death of Asuquo and eventually traced him to Akwa Ibom, where he was arrested in August.
Further investigations revealed that he had a history of raping ladies. The Cross River State Police Commissioner also revealed that he strangled his girlfriend in 2013, for aborting a two-month pregnancy.
He was remanded in Afokang Prison, Calabar, back then but, strangely, he was released during a visit by the State Chief Judge in 2014. He is now awaiting the day the police will charge him to court for his latest crime.
