Stoke City have agreed on a fee of £3.5milion to sign Egypt and Al Ahly midfielder Ramadan Sobhi, according to ESPNFC.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young African players and has also attracted interest from the likes of Roma, Udinese and Arsenal, having impressed in the red jerseys of both his club and national team.
However, it appears that Stoke are set to secure the player’s services, with ESPN citing a source who claims that a deal is in place between the Potters and Al Ahly.
They add that the English club will probably loan Sobhi out until he can secure a work permit.
Al Ahly football director Sayed Abdel-Hafiz told FilGoal earlier this week that his club “don’t mind letting Ramadan Sobhi depart” if a “suitable” offer is put on the table.
