Meet, Godfrey Baguma, a 48-year-old Ugandan who suffers from a rare, unknown medical condition.



In 2002 the former cobbler entered a contest to find Uganda’s ugliest man; this he did because he was financially constrained.

After winning the title of Uganda’s ugliest man, Godfrey rode on the media attention to venture into music and comedy. He has performed on many stages for those who don’t mind a bit of quirkiness in their entertainment.

But alas! Godfrey found love again with Kate; who nearly left him, he said.

Speaking of how the pair fell in love he said: “I stayed with her for four years before her people knew where she was.

I didn’t want them to see me until we had a child because they would definitely advise her to leave me. She left me when she was six months pregnant but I think she later accepted her fate because she came back two months later.”

Kate told a radio station in Uganda that: “Once you find a man you think is right for you, do not listen to what other people say. Follow your heart. Money and physical appearance should not be an issue.”

The couple has had six children, giving Uganda’s ugliest man a total of 8 children!
