Senegal international Sadio Mane is set to miss Liverpool FC's English Premier League (EPL) clash with Burnley.

The 24-year-old forward was reportedly hurt after colliding with one of his Liverpool teammates at the club's training ground on Wednesday.

Scan results at the Spire Liverpool Hospital later revealed that he had suffered a muscle injury not a dislocation.

Mane left the Hospital with his left arm in a sling and he will miss the match against Burnley at the Turf Moor Stadium on Saturday.

However, he is expected to be match fit for Liverpool's EPL clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the White Hart Lane on 27 August 2016.

The Sedhiou-born player, who joined the Reds from Southampton two months ago, netted for his new side on his official debut last weekend.

Belgian forward Divock Origi, who has Kenyan roots, is likely to replace Mane in the Liverpool starting line-up on Saturday.
